Installation, Maintenance and Aftercare

Maintenance - Protecting Your Investment
Regular maintenance is essential to maximise the lifespan and performance of your flat roof.
Nimbus recommends:
Scheduled inspections at least every six months
Inspections following major weather events
Careful documentation to maintain guarantee compliance
Maintenance guides for waterproofing systems, green roofs, blue roofs, and PV arrays are being finalised In the meantime, our technical team can provide project-specific maintenance advice.
Safe Access and Egress
At Nimbus Roof Technologies, safe access and egress for roof maintenance is non-negotiable: all routes must be planned, risk-assessed, and controlled, with fixed or secured ladders, designated step-off points, and continuous edge protection or certified fall-arrest/restraint systems in place before anyone leaves the ground.
Operatives maintain three points of contact when climbing, wear appropriate PPE, and may only access roofs when weather and lighting are suitable. Clear signage, barriers, and exclusion zones protect people below; walkways and fragile roof warnings are mandatory; hatches and openings are guarded at all times. Tools are carried hands-free, housekeeping keeps routes clear, and emergency rescue arrangements are briefed before work starts.
Only trained, competent personnel may access the roof, under a permit-to-work where required, and all equipment is inspected before use.
In short: controlled access, protected edges, clear routes, competent people, so every maintenance visit is safe from first step to last.
